Details Confirmed for 2026 Pride Week
Press release from England Ice Hockey:
England Ice Hockey is excited to announce details of its fifth annual Pride Week, which will take place from February 14-22, 2026.
Clubs from all sections of England Ice Hockey are invited and encouraged to be part of Pride Week 2026 as we continue to build on the success of recent years.
Pride Week 2026 covers two game weekends, giving as many teams as possible the chance to host a pride fixture/event on home ice.
All club events and initiatives will be shared across EIH's digital channels in the run-up and throughout Pride Week 2026, highlighting the great work being done.
Features such as Pride jerseys, rainbow stick tape and rainbow laces are all permitted and encouraged along with other less visible signs - such as inviting members of a local LGBTQ+ charity or organisation to a game and working with them on advocacy, support and education.
EIH chief operating and development officer Grant King said:
“Pride Week has become a key fixture of the EIH calendar, and we’re pleased to confirm its return this season in February.
“It’s an important opportunity to raise awareness and understanding around diversity and inclusion, and to reinforce that our sport and venues should be welcoming and safe for everyone - on and off the ice.
“While Pride Week is a highlight, our commitment to inclusion is year-round. We can’t wait to share initiatives and stories from clubs across the EIH community.”
